The survey may take up to 30 minutes to complete, and student participation is not required, as mentioned above. The Spring survey window is March 27 – April 6. The opt out process will be communicated by your students’ home campus. Your student’s teacher will administer the survey in the Fall, Winter, and Spring during the school day, but parents/guardians may opt their child out of the survey if they wish to do so. The survey questions were developed through a thorough research process that included extensive literature reviews, student focus groups, large-scale pilots, reliability and validity studies, and continued refinement. Teachers will record their perceptions of the classroom environment for their students in grades K-12. The student survey will include the following topics: challenging feelings, positive feelings, emotional regulation, school safety, supportive relationships in school, self efficacy, sense of belonging in school, and teacher-student relationships.
